According to "Grundy Genealogy" citing Census and land records [1]:
STEPHEN ALEXANDER KILGORE was born Aug 1802 in Russell Co., VA., and died Bef. 1880 in Grundy Co. TN. He was a farmer, per the 1850 Census.
He married NANCY JANE LOVELACE Abt. 1824. She was born Abt. 1805 in KY, and died 1865.
Stephen and Family can be found in the 1850 & 1860 in Grundy Co. Census, then in Marion Co. Census in 1870. The children are:
