Funeral services for Leonora K. Evans were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Matthews Mortuary chapel. J. Richard Burgoyne conducted and family prayer was by Jack Gidney. A song, "Oh Dry Those Tears", was by Mrs. Waldo Andersen; prayer, Celdon R. Hart; obituary and remarks, Bishop Roscoe E. Evans; song, "The Holy City", Max Haddock; speaker, Byron E. Mumford; duet, "Whispering Hope," by Mrs. Eugene Wilcox and Max Haddock; prayer, Eldon Cook. Mrs. Evans, 86, died on Wednesday, July 5, in a nursing home at Grand Junction, Colorado. She was bown in Meadowville, Utah, to Eugene Heber and Margaret Eldridge Kimball on October 15, 1885. She married Asa Clarence Evans on September 29, 1914, in Paris, Idaho, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 2, 1950. Mrs. Evans was a former resident of Raymond, Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked in the Primary and other LDS Church auxillaries. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Doris Maye) Gidney of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Hattie Holliday of Pleasant Grove, Utah. The grave in the Montpelier Cemetery was dedicated by John E. Gidney. Acting as pallbearers were John E. Gidney, Glen Hymas, Jack Gidney, Henry Evans, Raymond Dimick and Thaoe Wright.
