John Kimmey was a son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Fort) Kimmey. He was born in about 1772, probably in Bethlehem (Albany County), New York.
He was married to Jane (a.k.a. Jinny) Leroy, daughter of Simon and Sarah Leroy.[1]
John Kimmey died 24 August 1845 and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Bethlehem. His gravestone states his age as 73 years. [1]
