Biography

Mary Kincaid was born in 1728, and in Virginia in 1745, she married Julius Caesar Dugger.^[1]

On July 25, 1785, the "widow Dugger" was mentioned in a court order for road work in Wilkes Co, NC. John Nauthern was oppointed overseer for the road work from Ben Howard’s to widow Dugger's. By 1787, Mary had joined her sons Julius and William Jr in what is now Carter Co, TN. The last record found of Mary is the land grant of 1787.^[2]
