The name James Samuel King and birthdate was found by Wealtha Scott as she was preparing her book McConnell Memorabilia. In a letter written by William N. King to Abram A. McConnell, William said they had a new son and Sarah told her brother that they had named him James Samuel. He doesn't appear on the 1860 Census. We know that they had a child named James Samuel that died while they were still living in Virginia. This must be a different one.
