Corporal Joseph Kingsbury served with 12th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Joseph was born February 20, 1755, the son of Jabez Kingsbury and Mary Phelps. He died September 7, 1835. He resided in Andover, Connecticut. "He served as a Corporal in Captain Eleazer Hutchinson's Company in Colonel Hosford's Regiment of the State Militia, in 1776." (Kingsbury Genealogy)

Jabez was born June 21, 1717, in Hampton, Connecticut, and died October 18, 1769. Jabez was the son of Nathaniel Kingsbury and Hannah Denison.

Nathaniel was born August 23, 1684, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and died September 18, 1763. Nathaniel was the son of Joseph Kingsbury and Love Ayres.

Joseph was born circa 1656 and died in 1741 in Norwich, Connecticut. Love was born April 15, 1663, in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Her parents were Thomas Ayres and Elizabeth Hutchins, etc., etc. The Ayres family goes back to Wilshire, Dorset, England.

Other ancestor, the Everards, go back to Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.
