Thomas Kinney was born July 6, 1783, the son of Nathan Kinney and Sarah Nickerson[1], who settled in Barrington, Shelburne, Nova Scotia, and sold out in 1770 to move to Little River, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[2]
Circa 1803, Thomas Kinney married Lydia Bartlett, daughter of Lemuel[1], and their children included:
Elizabeth, born May 18, 1804, who married William Larkin, son of Stephen[1][3]
Abigail, born April 24, 1806, who married Joseph Allen 2nd, son of Joseph of Little River[1][4], and who died Jan. 26, 1880 (see Findagrave memorial #109765066)
Simeon Bartlett Kinney, born April 3, 1808, who married Olive Doane, daughter of Israel[5], and who died June 7, 1873[1]
Lydia, born January 28, 1810, who married Captain Hiram Clements, and then married Andrew C. White, son of Major John White of Haverhill, Mass[1][6][7]
Irene, born 1811, who married Benjamin Hersey, son of Jesse, and who died January 29, 1888[1]
Phoebe, who married Captain Samuel Crosby; son of Edmund Crosby[1][8]
Almira, who married Captain Oliver Haley, son of Comfort Haley 2nd, and who died August 7, 1875[9][1]
Thomas P. Kinney, born 1816, who went to Calcutta and married there, and died January 26, 1893[1]
James Bond Kinney, born February 27, 1824, who married Mary Robbins daughter of Joseph Robbins on January 6, 1848, and who died March 10, 1895[1][10]
