Biography

Jennet was born in County Antrim, Ireland about 1698. Some have supposed she was a Kirkpatrick , but without actual proof. She died 1 August 1777, "in her 80th year" and is buried in Lamington Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Jennet Kirkpatrick Gaston is being removed as a daughter of Alexander Kirkpatrick. The Kirkpatrick memorial: or, Biographical sketches of father and son and a selection from the sermons of the Rev. Jacob Kirkpatrick, jr. identified a daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick named Jennet but she was married to Duncan McEowen. This Jennet Kirkpatrick was married to Hugh Gaston.
