His parents were married in 1773 in Montgomery, Orange, New York, British Colonial America.

Note: Birth date: 7 Oct 1791 / Christening date: 31 Oct 1791. Robert was christened in German Flatts, Herkimer, New York at Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, German Flatts Twp, Herkimer, New York. Parents: Heinrich Glock and Margareth. According to Church and Census, the name was listed as Glock.
