Biography

Alice was born about 1598 (age 37 in 1635) and married William Purrier on 21 February 1623.[1]

She emigrated from London to Boston, Massachusetts aboard the Hopewell on April 3, 1635 ("Alyce Purryer 37 wife of Wm. purryer") with her husband and three daughters, Mary, Sarah, and Katherine.[2]

"William Purrier was head of one of several families which migrated from Olney, Buckinghamshire, and vicinity, in association with their minister, WILLIAM WORCESTER {1639, Salisbury}."

"They first settled in Ipswich MA; moved to Salisbury MA by about 1640, & Southold NY by an unknown date. They had 6 children: Thomas, Mary Reeves, Sarah Mapes, Margaret, Katherine, & Martha Osman."

She died before 1671 in Southold, Suffolk, New York; her burial is unknown. Alice Knight Purrier is probably buried in the Old Burying Ground of First Presbyterian Church, Southold, New York.[5]

There is an approved merge for Knight-3939 and Knight-435 but, Knight-3939 has unsourced parents John Knight and Ann Newcomb. What to do with them?
