Biography
Thomas Knight Jr. (1687-1746), married Sarah Plumly 26 Oct., 1711 at Abington M.M. They lived in the Abington-Byberry area until 1724 when they lived Middletown (see indenture document in MEDIA): in the Gwynedd-North Wales area until 1746. After the death of Thomas Jr. in 1746, his wife Sarah moved to Philadelphia until 1751, at which time they went back to Buckingham, Pa. On 26 Sept., 1732 Thomas Knight was dropped from the Gwynedd M.M. rolls. At this meeting, Sarah Knight produced a certificate for herself and for her children-Johnathan, Soloman, Abel, and Thomas. These four were brothers living in Buckingham. Pa. in 1733. They also had three-four sisters.
Because of a dispute with a few members of his monthly meeting, Buckingham MM, Thomas left the church. Sarah continued with the children at a branch of the same MM called Byberry MM. But they attended various MM for quite a few years. Just before his death, Thomas provided documentation of his "misconduct" and was accepted back into Buckingham MM.
