Illawarra Mercury (Wollongong, NSW), Fri 01 Apr 1881, p.3

The Late Mr. George Knight. — On Monday last, Mr. George Knight, a very old and much respected resident of Illawarra departed this life. The deceased gentleman had resided in this district well on toward forty years, during the whole of which time he enjoyed and merited the respect of all with whom he came in contact. For many years latterly he lived with his family on a freehold on the Bulli Mountain, where, with his sons, he erected a saw mill and made other improvements. His end was the result of decay of nature to a great extent, his age being 74 years. He leaves a widow and a large and very respectable family to deplore their loss. Deceased's remains were followed to the Wesleyan Cemetery near town, on Tuesday, by a large number of friends, Mr. Pincombe officiating.[1]
