Joan was born in 1732 in Chardstock, Devon, England. She was the daughter of Henry Knight and UNKNOWN Anne.[1]
Joan was baptised on 2 April 1732 in St. Andrew's church, Chardstock, England.[1]
When Joan was 23 she married John Gigg on 6 August 1755 in Axminster, Devon, England. The couple had 8 children: Sarah Gigg, Ann Gigg, Dorothy Gigg, John Gigg, Henry Gigg, James Gigg, Charles Sweetland Gigg and Maria Gigg.[2]
Joan died at the age of 76 on 20 May 1808 in Axminster, Devon, England.[1][2]
