Green Berry Knowles first married to Harriet Jane Ashfield (b: 1806 GA; d: 1852).
Green Berry Knowles married secondly to Narcissa Ashfield.
During the American Civil War he served as a soldier in Captain Boatright's Company "A", 60th Alabama Infantry. [1]
He died of "brain fever" on 07 June 1862 at the home of Samuel Brown in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama and was buried there in the Confederate Memorial Section of Oakwood Cemetery. [2]
