Biography
Catharina Johanna Koek (ged. Malakka 8-5-1763 – gest. Buitenzorg 11-2-1843), vrouw van de laatste Nederlandse gouverneur-generaal van Malakka. Dochter van Joost Jzn. Koek (1731-1790), assistent bij de VOC, en Catharina de Roth (1735-na 1790). Catharina Johanna Koek trouwde (1) op 12-4-1778 in Malakka met Joan George Abeleven (1747-ca. 1781), boekhouder bij de VOC; (2) op 29-7-1781 in Malakka met Abraham Couperus (1752-1813), koopman, later gouverneur van Malakka. Uit huwelijk (1) zijn geen kinderen bekend; uit (2) werden 5 dochters en 2 zoons geboren, van wie 1 zoon jong overleed.
