Francis LaBounty is first found in the U.S. in the 1860 census (Ausable, Clinton, New York; Roll: M653_736; Page: 1119; Image: 559) in Ausable, NY. Francis is a farmer, age 30 and born in Canada. Sophia is 33, born in Canada. Their children are all born in Canada: Delphine age 6, Mary age 5, Frank age 3, and Alex age 1. Their daughter Sophia, age 8, is living with a family next door. Since Alex is only 1 but was born in Canada, this suggests that the family emmigrated to the U.S. from Canada very recently.
In the 1870 census (Ausable, Clinton, New York; Roll: M593_918; Page: 38; Image: 77) the family is still living in Ausable. Francis, age 40, is a laborer with 0 in real estate and 0 in personal estate. Sophia is 43. Also in the household is Sophia age 18, Dolly age 16, Mary age 14, Francis age 13, Alexander age 11, Julia age 7, Cluffie age 5, Adolphus age 2, and Julia A. age 2/12. Here is some info for you. Francis LaBounty (Francois Labonte ) birth Aug/10/1830 not 1822 and was baptized Aug 11, 1830 death May 6, 1898. Sophia Arcouette(Sophie Arcouet) birth Feb 19, 1827 and was baptized Feb 20, 1827 death June 24, 1910. After their marriage Aug 27, 1850 in St. Edouard de Napierville, Francois Labonte & Sophie Arcouet had the following childern;
1) Joseph birth Sept 10, 1851 baptized Sept 11, 1851 St. Edouard de Napierville Quebec.
2) Sophia (Sophie) birth Oct 4, 1852 baptized Apr 23, 1853 St. Edouard de Napierville Quebec. death 1935 Note: the baptismal act states that Sophie was born in Keeseville, NY.
3) Delphine birth June 23, 1854 death July 8, 1912.
4) Mary (Marie) birth Oct 1855 baptized Dec 16, 1855 age three months. The godparents were Marie Louise Arcouet and her husband Firmin Menard, aunt and uncle to the child, Marie Louise being the sister to Sophie Arcouet.

Here you go hope you are ready, the rest of the kids of Francis and Sophia. As promised, here are the children of Francois & Sophie that I found in Keeseville. They are in addition to Joseph & Sophie who were both baptized in St. Edouard de Napierville( as per an earlier e-mail).
1) Delphine birth June 23, 1854 death july 8, 1912
2) Marie Louise bap Dec. 16, 1855 age three months. The godparents were Marie Louise Arcouet and her husband Firmin Menard, aunt and uncle to the child, Marie louise being the sister to Sophie Arcouet.
