Biography

Pearl's birth date and mother's name were recorded in the 1925 census (#504). In the 1910 census (#304), her birth place was given as South Dakota. The same census records that she could not speak English, but only Winnebago. Since she was only 4 years old at the time, this means that the family spoke Winnebago at home, and English as only a second language.
