Biography

Allen Edgar Standen Forsyth was born to Allen Forsyth and Sarah Lafranchi (nee Standen) during a time of a breakdown of Sarah's marriage to Peter Antonio Lafranchi. 1868 to 1873 were the years Peter and Sarah spent apart.

In his adult years Allen was known by his correct surname of Forsyth. He worked as a Miner in Peak Hill, Wellington and Cobar. Married in 1900 to Amy Lewis in Barmedman and they had 7 children, two did not survive childhood.

Allen was staying at the home of his mother, Sarah Madsen and sister May Patman in Spring Garden Street, Granville receiving treatment for Pulmonary Tuberculosis when he died there on 25 June 1920 at age 49 years. He was buried in Church of England Section of Rookwood Cemetery on 26 June 1920.
