Biography

Information from Quaker meeting records:
Isaac Lamb was born on 19 July 1784 according to records of Deep River Monthly Meeting of Friends.[1]

Isaac and Mary "Polly" Parrott were married (bond date) on 8 February 1810 in Guilford County, North Carolina. [2]

Following the marriage in 1810 there is a record in Deep River Friends Monthly Meeting of Isaac Lamb being disowned for marrying out of unity. [3]

2 April 1810: "The friends appointed to visit Isaac Lamb report they attended to the appointment with pretty good satisfaction and he appeared to hear and offered a paper condemning his misconduct which was accepted>" [4]
7 September 1812:"Deep preparative meeting complains of Isaac Lamb for taking too much strong drink and using bad lanuage. Latham Folger, Joseph Mendenhall and Johathan Harrold are appointed to visit him and endeavor to convince him of the evil of such conduct and report their care to next meeting."
Next meeting: "The friends appointed to visit Isaac Lamb report "it's comply with"(?) but things not appearing altogether satisfactory. This meeting appoints David Sanders, Joshua Johnson, Jehu Wickersham and William Gardner to visit him again and report their case to next meeting." [5]
5 October 1812: Isaac offered a paper condemning his actions, which was accepted. [6]
6 September 1813:The same scenario as the above mentioned one repeats itself again and when Isaac does not seem disposed to make satisfaction he is disowned."

At this time it is unknown whether or not there is more to this saga. [7]
