David Lane, the son of John and Mary (Riggs) Lane,[1][2]was born 27 May 1722, and was baptized in the First Parish of Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on June 10, 1722.[3] His parents, John Lane and Mary Riggs, married in Gloucester on Jan. 1, 1712-13.[4]
Abigail Lane (abt.1726-1766) and David Lane married Oct. 31, 1743 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts.[5] A verbatim transcription of the original record follows: [6]
"A purpose of Marriage between David Lane and Abigal Lane both of this town (transcriber's note: Gloucester) was entered October 15th 1743.
"David Lane and Abigal Lane both of this town were married by Rev Mr. Benjamine Bradstreet October 31st, 1743. (transcriber's note: the following children are then listed)
"Susannah their daughter was born May 3rd 1744
"John their son was born July 5th 1745
"Mary their daughter was born January 7th 1946
"Tammy their daughter was born May 3rd 1749
"David their son was born December 41st 1756
"Abigail wife of David Lane died
"A purpose of marriage between David Lane and Deliverence Gott, widow, both of this town entered May 12th 1769."
Birth records independently show the birth of the following children, who resulted from the union of David Lane and Abigal Lane:[7]
Susanneh Lane, the daughter of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on May 3, 1744. [8]
John Lane, the son of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on July 5, 1745. [9]
Mary Lane, the daughter of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on Jan. 7, 1746-7. [10]
David Lane, the son of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on Dec. 1, 1750. [11]
Tammy Lane, the daughter of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on May 3, 1749. [12] Thomasin Lane, the daughter of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was baptized May 7, 1749 at the Third Parish church at Annisquam, Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts.[13]
Sally (or Sarah) Lane, the daughter of David and Abigal (Lane) Lane, was born in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts on June 15, 1764. PR591[14]
David's wife Abigail must have died before 1769, even though her record at Find A Grave states July 1776. David Lane and the widow Deliverance (Pool) Gott married on May 28, 1769 at the Fifth Parish, at Sandy Bay (later to become Rockport, Essex County.[15] She was a widow, having married Joseph Gott on Dec. 31, 1745.[16] Deliverence was the daughter of Joshua and Deliverence Poole, born Mar. 13, 1726 in Gloucester.[17] No children have been identified from her marriage with David Lane.
David Lane died of dropsy in the Third Parish, at Annisquam, Gloucester, Massachusetts on Sept. 3, 1777, at age 56 years.[18] He lies buried in the Cove Hill Cemetery in Lanesville, Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts.[19]

Check the near-identicality of names, dates, locations, and children. Lane-3127 is an orphan, so you could take it over to make the merger quicker.
