Hi!

If you're a member of the Google Group,* then you've heard that the Magna Carta Project has retired the Gateway Guardian initiative. Would you delete or replace your Gateway Guardian sticker please?

WikiTree has two relatively new stickers - Template:Relationship_Sticker and Template:Connection Sticker - that you might want to use if you're related to or connected to the Gateway. There's also the Template:Descendant sticker that you can use. To see tailored coding for these stickers (e.g., with the Magna Carta Project logo), please see Space: Magna Carta Stickers#sticker.

Thanks! Liz

* If you're not and would like to be, please send a request to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/wikitreemagnacarta (be sure to include your WikiTree ID; the Google Group is no longer "Project members only", but it is restricted to WikiTree members).

Hello 4th cousin! Thanks for all your input so far. I have added branches and info to some of your work. :)

Hi Peter!

Gateway Guardians need to be active, badged members of the Magna Carta Project, and badged members have participation requirements.

You're overdue on developing a trail, so I need to ask you to replace the Gateway Guardian sticker with the Affiliate sticker (Affiliates have no participation requirements). If you'd like to become an active member, let me know and we can "re-badge" you.

Thanks! Liz

Hi Peter,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the Magna Carta Project.

Hi Peter! I posted a copy of this Gateway Guardian sticker as a comment on Anne's profile. It stays in the comments there, but this sticker is for your profile page - you can copy/paste the coding from the e-mail to your profile (feel free to change the display of your name to suit).

Cheers, Liz

P.S. I jumped the gun a bit... a requirement for joining the Magna Carta Project is to have the pre-1700 badge. When you get a chance, could you do the pre-1700 certification? See Help:Pre-1700 Profiles for more info & a link for the certification.

Once you are certified, I'll set you up as Gateway Guardian for Anne (Derehaugh) Stratton. She's already in a badged trail, so you'll want to pick a trail to develop from Base Camp's "Ready to Get Started" table.

Welcome, and thanks for joining the Magna Carta project!

Check out the project page for info on how we work & go to Magna Carta Base Camp to get started. deleted link - the Gateway Guardian project initiative was retired 7 February 2022.

Give me or David a holler if you have any questions, or you can post in G2G (Magna_Carta) or to the Google Group (that group is tied to WikiTree-36, the project account). When you send a request to join the Google Group, please include your WikiTree ID (I don't always recognize a person by their e-mail address).

Cheers, Liz
