Marie Madeleine LeFebvre was born on 11 Jun 1724 in Baie-du-Febvre and was baptized later on 15 Aug in Saint-François-du-Lac parish in Canada, Nouvelle-France. She was the daughter of Claude LeFebvre and Marie Catherine Derocher. Sponsors for Madeleine's baptism were Guillaume Pinard and Marie René Lefebvre; neither sponsor signed the register.

At age 24 Madeleine married Etienne Guaultier on 17 Feb 1749 in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish in Baie-du-Febvre, Canada, Nouvelle-France. There were 11 known children born into this marriage.

Marie Descoteaux died at age 87 on 28 Apr 1809 in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish in Baie-du-Febvre, Bas-Canada; she was buried two days later on 30 Apr in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish cemetery.

NOTE: Madeleine's baptismal record gives 11 Jun 1724 as her date of birth; most collections give 11 Aug 1724 as the date of birth.

Lefebvre dit Descoteaux-2 and LeFebvre-937 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, birth date and place, husband.

According to latest Quebecois guideline LNAB should be LeFebvre, CLN should be Lefebvre dit Descoteaux and OLN shoud be Descoteaux.
