Isabella Lea was born c. 1738 as there is a record of her being the second daughter born to James Lea Sr. and Ann (Herndon) Lea. The first born daughter was her sister Nancy (Lea) Harrelson. Many different years have been given as the year of her birth. The date used here is from Graves: Twelve Generations, Some Descendants and Kin, Louise Graves (1977) at 71. Another researcher ascribes 22 February 1731 in King and Queen County, Virginia.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Isabella by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Isabella:
Lea-1635 and Lea-41 appear to represent the same person because: I am proposing this merge based on the connection between Leas and the Graves. There is also another Isabella Lea that could be merged: Lea-162 of which I am the profile manager.
Noticed the update for Isabella Lea, specifically her husband - John Graves. One of the Leas is named Pleasant John Graves Lea (Lea-1498). Always wondered about that name. Could there be a connection?
