Israel Leavitt was born on April 23, 1648 in Hingham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay. His parents were John Leavitt and Sarah Gilman .[1] [2]
He married Lydia Jackson 10 Jan 1676/77.[1] [3] Together they had 9 children:[1]

He lived on Leavitt Street in Hingham.[1]

Israel Leavitt served in King Philip’s War.
He is buried at Hingham Center Cemetery, Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts.[4]
Research Notes
It is highly unlikely that Israel had more wives. If he died in 1696, and Lydia died after him in 1729.[5]
Some unsourced profiles show Preserved Hall as Israel's wife, but Preserved Hall married Lydia (Jackson) Leavitt[6] in 1699.
