Osite LeBlanc is a descendant of an Acadian

The first marriage transcribed from the St. Michael's parish records is between François, son of François and Elisabeth LeBlanc, and Osite, daughter of Simeon LeBlanc and Osite Arsenault, on Sep 22, 1806.[1] François and Osite are credited with the following children in the same records;

  • Isabelle - Sep 21, 1811
  • Christie - Sep 7, 1813
  • Aime - Jun 6, 1819

Frances White (François LeBlanc) is on the 1818 census beside his 1st cousin Helier White (Hilaire LeBlanc). He is a 39 year old Farmer born in Cape Breton and having spent his whole life on the island. He is married with 4 children at this time.[2]
