Biography

According to church records Frederick was born 05/18/1887 and baptized 07/03/1887 at First Trinity Lutheran Church in DC.

Freddie worked for the Washington Gaslight Co. in Washington, D.C. He married Ida McDonald of Rixeyville, Va. the 17th of June 1912. Ida was born the 6th of November, 1889 in Maryland and died in April of 1979 in Maryland. Ida worked at Prince Georges Hospital.

He took a fall which created a clot in his leg. He ended up in the hospital where they had to amputate the leg.. He never recovered and died shortly after surgery January, 16th 1960, at the age of 72.

According to his WWII draft registration, filled out when he was 57, Fred was 5’ 6”, 156 lbs, had blue eyes, brown hair, a ruddy complexion, and had tatoos on both arms.

Fredrick and Ida are buried at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
