Biography

Johann Lechleiter and Maria Muller were the parents of eleven children:

  1. Catherine Barbara
  2. Johann Jacob
  3. Johannes
  4. Son, name unknown
  5. Johann Adam
  6. Johann Peter
  7. Johann George
  8. Johann Conrad
  9. Elizabeth
  10. Barbara
  11. Ludwig

Since each of the male children have a name starting with Johann or Johannes, it is safe to assume that this child was also named the same way. This is a common naming convention: The Vorname (in English forename) is usually given to a child by the parents shortly after birth. It is common to give a child several Vornamen (forenames), one of them intended for everyday use and known as the Rufname ("appellation name" or "call name").

Because he never got a Rufname, Child #4 may have died as an infant.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
