Biography

Daniel A. Ledsome was born 13 Apr 1840 in Wood County, Virginia (now Wirt County, West Virginia). United States. He was the son of Nathaniel Ledsome and Drusanna Dye. Daniel had six brothers and sisters in his family.

Daniel married Priscilla (Dye) Ledsome, 25 Dec 1857 in Wirt County, Virginia (now West Virginia), United States. They were the parents of a daughter: Drusa Angelina Ledsome (listed), plus five other children. Priscilla and Daniel raised their children as Baptist.

Daniel and his brothers were dealers in general merchandise, county produce, flour and feed. They were in business for 13 years in Reddy, West Virginia.

Daniel A. Ledsome passed away 27 Jul 1908 in Roane County, West Virginia, United States. He is buried in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, near Reedy, Roane County, West Virginia.
