DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

The ‘Find Relationship’ tool is telling me this:

—> “Woodrow Wilson Guthrie (1912-1967) and Ken Bashford are both descendants of Thomas Lee (1729-1816)”

It’s telling me that WOODY GUTHRIE … the American folk music legend … is my 5th cousin, once removed!

For me, this is HUGE! But it all depends on the WikiTree connection from Thomas Lee-7459 … to James Lee-7458 … to Mary Polly (Lee-20519) Sands.

How solid is this connection?

Is anyone aware of a reliable source for the middle name of "Bryan"? All of the sources cited in this profile appear to refer to him simply as James Lee. If anyone is aware of a source, please reply with a citation to it. Otherwise, that middle name will be removed from the profile.

I’ll go a step further. Is there evidence this James is a son of Capt Thomas Lee-7459? Maybe I’ve missed it.

Is there a rebuttal to Robin Lee’s comments of 7/14/2015?
