Biography

Daniel Leming was born in Upper Freehold,NJ to William Liming and Deborah. He married Elizabeth Fine about 1758-9.

In 1783, Daniel Leming is listed in the first tax list of Greene County, Tennessee.

Founder of Tennessee

Daniel was a signer of the 1787 petition for Statehood and by doing so is considered a founder of Tennessee.
