Anne was born in 1852. She was the daughter of James Lendrum and Jane Nelson.
She married John Preston Brooks (1853–1926). They had the following children:

Arthur Clyde Brooks 1881–1962
Ellen Harriet Brooks 1884–1887
James Clemmer Brooks 1886–1948
Anna Emma Brooks 1888–1995
Henry George Brooks 1891–1976
She passed away in 1939. Buried at Hiland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Perrysville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
