Mayflower does not list a child Nancy as a daughter of Joseph Leonard and Hannah Jennings. Last child was Bette b. 1730. Ref; Mayflower Families Vol. 13 p. 66.

The records show her father to be born to Benjamin Leonard and Sarah Thrasher. Attached is the correct Joseph, as shown by the records.

Nancy (Leonard) Campbell was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Biography

Nancy Leonard was born June 15, 1737 in Otsego County, New York to Joseph Leonard and ___ (Harvey or Hodges) Leonard. She was the granddaughter of Benjamin Leonard and Sarah (Thrasher) Leonard. She married Joel Campbell.[1][2]

She and Joel were part of the pioneers that traveled with the LDS movement across the country. The family was at many of the important points in the churches history.[3]

Nancy passed away April 1790 in Montgomery, Orange, New York. She left Joel and their children (Joel, Nathaniel, Obadiah, Jonathan, Jemmia, Benoni and Susanna) to live in their beliefs and take care of their own families.[4][5]

After her death, her family remained in the church and followed it's teachings. In 1837 they lived in Medina County and in 1845, answering a call from Brigham Young, they moved to Nauvoo, Illinois.[6]
