Biography

Mercy (Leonard) Robinson was born on December 1, 1714[1] in Marlborough Middlesex, Province of Massachusetts Bay. Her parents were Moses Leonard (~1677 - 1775) and Mercy (Newton) Leonard (1685 - 1714).

Mercy married Samuel Robinson (1707 - 1767) on May 29, 1732 [2][3]in Southborough, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.

Note

Mercy (Newton) Leonard,
because the mother died at her birth and gave the child to Moses Newton,
who brought her up, and had her with him until she married child, as
it were, of his old age. He gives to her in his will about the same portion
that it was then usual to give to a daughter when she marries, and provides
that she shall be maintained from his substance until she does marry.
But he lived to see her settled in life. She married May 29, 1732, Samuel
Robinson, Jr., son of Samuel and Sarah (Manning) Robinson of Cambridge. where she was born 1707.?
Mercy married Samuel Robinson, Jr. on May 29,
1732. She became the "mother of the six illustrious
Robinson brothers of Bennington, Vt." She herself
was "a remarkably intelligent and energetic woman"-
one who could not fail to receive favorable comment.
In these or any other days she would have been a
leader.

Leonard-555 and Leonard-293 appear to represent the same person because: Sources have been added showing the parents as was requested by Deborah (Pridgen-10). Dates of birth and death fixed to match records. Birth record shows parents. Findagrave shows parents. Ready to be merged. The husband is also a duplicate profile that needs to be merged.
