As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful or left you with any questions?
I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. To contact me, reply to this comment, or click the link to my name and then send a private message or post a comment on my profile page.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
P.P.S. Tags are a great way to connect with others researching the same name or location. To make that easier, you'll want to add tags (one each) for the surnames and locations you're interested in (instead of having a surname tag & a location tag). Click the linked "following" in the text just above your tags on this page, your profile page, to add more tags.
Once you save your tags (and last I checked, you needed to save each one as you edit or add it), you'll be able to click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those subjects. For surnames, there will be another tab on that page that shows you all of the profiles with that name.
You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.
Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.
Cheers, Liz
P.S. If you get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree e-mail, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
