Biography

Moses W. Levensaler was the son of John Levensaler and Katherine Achorn. He married Sally Hahn in 1832. They had nine children, born between 1833 and 1852. Moses died in 1882. [1]

Moses W. Levensaler, 1804-1882, was the son of John Levensaler (1775-1845) and Katherine Achorn, who married in 1799 in Waldroboro, Lincoln, Maine. All of their children were born in Waldrboro. Moses married Sarah Hahn. They had at least one child, Warren Levansaler (1837-1915), a hotelier, who died in Washington DC, and is buried with his wife and two daughters in Washington DC. Moses died in 1882, aged 78. He is buried at Comery Cemetery, Waldoboro, Maine. Also buried there are his father; an aunt, Margaret Benner; and two brothers, Aaron, and John Adam. [2]

Moses Levensaler and SallybHahn were married on 13 December 1832, in Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine. [3]

In 1850, the Levensaler family lived in Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine. The household included

Moses Levensaler died, aged 88, on 29 March 1892 in Waldoboro, Maine. He was 88. Moses was born in Waldoboro, the son of John Levensaler and Mary L. Achorn. He was a widowed farmer, and died of old age. Moses was buried at Comery Cemetery. [7]

NOTE: either this death record (which is difficult to read) or FindAGrave (no gravestone photo) is incorrect. Did he die in 1882 or 1892?
