Family Bible Information

Benjamin Lewis' family bible gives information on Joseph, his wife and children. All dates prior to 1775 appear to be based on Benjamin's memory and not on written records; it is very likely that Benjamin could not read or write. Examples: Joseph Sr's birth date in the family bible is May 2nd rather than Mar 8th. Only Ruth's birth year is given, not a specific date. The birth years for Benjamin's seven siblings are approximate (better information is available from other sources). Information thought to be more correct than what is in the bible is shown in brackets [ ].
