Ethel Pearl Hood Hill, age 83, of Brush Grove Road, Willisburg, passed away at 3 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on Aug. 2, 1927 to the late Dan and Zelma Milburn Lewis.
She was a member of the Willisburg Church of God and a retired employee of Texas Instruments.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Rev. Hobert Lee Hood on May 30, 1965.
Survivors include, her husband, Frank Hill; two sons, Gerald Hood and his wife, Gail and Ed Hood and his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mae Thompson and her husband, Donnie and Carol Royalty and her husband, Jerry, all of Willisburg; a step daughter, Regina Keifer of Vine Grove; seven grandchildren, Rod Thompson, Paula Ray, Todd Hood, Chad Royalty, Jill Montgomery, Chasity Hill and Donna Clark; two step-grandchildren, Brian Case and Shawn Case; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the Willisburg Church Of God, with Rev. Todd Claypoole, the church pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Bryan Montgomery, pastor of the Danville Church Of God.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Rod Thompson, Todd Hood, Chad Royalty, Bryan Montgomery, Buddy Ray and Dewayne Clark. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.
