Edward Lincoln was an only child of his parents, however he had two half brothers and two half sisters. Richard Lincoln was by his father's 2nd wife (name unknown); and Elizabeth Lincoln, Anne Lincoln, Henry Lincoln were by his father's last wife, Ann.
Elizabeth and Anne took Edward to court regarding properties and monies owed. In the end Henry Lincoln Inherited all, including all properties that were left to Edward before any of their births.[1] Richard, Edward's father, was buried in the middle aisle of St. Andrew's, evidence that he was of the gentry class. Richard died possessed of a considerable estate, but the children of his fourth marriage acquired all of his property except a small amount of land which was granted to his son Edward by the Chancery Court.
About 1600 Edward LINCOLN, son of Richard Lincoln married. Among his sons are 1) Thomas, who came to the New England with his aunt, Mary Jacob, in 1633: and 2) Samuel, a direct ancestor of President Abraham Lincoln.
Amy Lincoln, baptized Hingham, 11 December 1625,[12] buried there 17 June 1626.[13]
