Caleb Lindley was born May 5, 1727 and was residing in Amwell Township, Washington County Pennsylvania at the time of the American Revolutionary War. In 1781, Caleb paid supply tax to help defray the costs of the war. [1] Caleb is honored for his Patriotic Service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as DAR Ancestor #A212559. DAR records indicate that Caleb died May 31, 1803, in Morris Township, Washington County Pennsylvania and that his wife's name was Hannah (no maiden name given). Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of their son, John Lindley, who married Susannah ______. [2]
