James Woodford Lindsey, 70 years of age , died at his home at the Cotton Mill, Sunday afternoon at 1:35 o'clock after a lengthy illness which began with a paralytic stroke suffered four months ago.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Edmonson County, KY, April 7, 1857, but had been a resident of Denison for the last sixteen years. He was a member of the Baptist Church at the Cotton Mill.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters; Mrs. Nannie [Nancy Jane ] Terrell of Van Alstyne and Josie Annie Odle of Texola, Oklahoma; two sons, Henry Robert Lindsey of Vernon and Willie Mckinly Lindsey of Denison and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday morning at 9 o'clock with the Rev. L. R. Lamb officiating. Interment was made in Coffman Cemetery west of Denison. Funeral directors were Short-Murray.
