Note: Mr. Kendall Robert Linker, 75, of 2301 Mount Pleasant Road N., Concord, died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Gordon Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Long and Roxie Eudy. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Concord DAV Chapter 27. The Linker family will receive friends from 9 to11 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the funeral service. Mr. Linker was born May 9, 1931, in Cabarrus County, son of Carrie Hatley Linker and the late Aaron Linker. He was a retired carpenter for Cannon Mills with 45 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War and received a Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his mother, Carrie Hatley Linker of Concord, he is survived by his wife, Alice Ridenhour Linker; son, Warren Linker and wife, Janice, of Concord; daughters, Terrie Powles and husband, Richard, of Salisbury, Joyce Crayton and husband, Rick, of Concord and Phyllis Swinson and husband, Perry, of Rockwell; brothers, Ray Linker, Eugene Linker and Dennis Linker, all of Concord; sisters, Ruth Barrier and Polly Teal, both of Concord, Francis Kanipe and Kathy Sue Tucker, both of Kannapolis, and Linda Kay Bittle of Mount Pleasant; and four grandchildren. Gordon Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Linker.
