Biography
Joseph Little was born 4 May 1741 in Newbury, Essex, Province of Massachusetts, the son of Capt. Edmund Little and Judith (Adams) Little. [1][2]
Joseph married first Elizabeth Merrill on 28 Apr 1762. [2] She died about a year later on 27 Oct 1763, [2] just weeks after delivering a daughter, Elisabeth on 9 Oct 1763 in Newbury. [1]
Joseph married second Mary Johnson, daughter of Rev. William Johnson, on 11 Nov 1766. [2][3] They had several children.
Joseph died 4 Apr 1823. He was survived by his second wife, Mary, who died on 18 Jun 1829. Both were buried in the Crane Neck Hill Cemetery in West Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts. [4]
