Research Notes
In 1826 Nancy's father Isaac Lockhart moved from Wood County, Virginia (now Wirt County, West Virginia) to that part of Wood County which became Jackson County, Virginia in 1831 and West Virginia in 1863. It is not known at this time if Nancy's birth was before or after the move to Jackson County.
