There is zero chance that Thomas was born in Kentucky in 1771. There were no settlements in 1771 Kentucky.

I don't think his exact date of birth is known. The exact date of birth listed here (2 Feb 1771) is the same as the date of marriage for Thomas Logsdon III (abt.1771-abt.1850) (Logsdon-341) and Annie (Wilson) Logsdon (abt.1774-1853).
