However, one ancestry site says :Born in England on 1701 to Caleb Lomax-143 and Mary Rose. William married Ann Coxe and had 7 children. He passed away on 1772 in North Carolina, USA.

He was a member of Parliament for St. Albans, in A. D. 1727, and died in A. D. 1729. He married Mary Rose. Their children are —

William Lomax, born about A. D. 1721 ; died in infancy.

Thus Caleb and Mary appear to be the wrong parents.
