Biography

John was born Jan. 8, 1780 in Washington County, Maryland, USA the son of John & Anna (Bunn) Long. John died Jun. 25, 1855[1] and is buried in Ridenour Cemetery, Berlin Township, Knox County Ohio, USA [2] He married Susannah Leedy in 1802 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Together the had over twenty children:

  1. John (1803-1886)
  2. Nancy (1804-1850)
  3. Abraham (1805-1891)
  4. Katherine (1806-1873) (second Catherine?)
  5. Elizabeth (1807-1850) (second Elizabeth?)
  6. David (1808-1882)
  7. Susannah (1811-after 1867)
  8. Daniel (1812-1892) (second Daniel?)
  9. Margaret (1813-1854)
  10. Jacob E. (1815-1894)
  11. Hannah (1816-1844)
  12. Mary (1818-1878)
  13. Barbara (1819-1896), a twin brother of Barbara who died in infancy
  14. Rosan (1820-1898)
  15. Sarah (1822-1911)
  16. Isaac (1823-1831)
  17. Samuel (1825-1870)
  18. Christina (1827-1919)
  19. Lydia (1828-1893).

They also reportedly had two other children who died in infancy. [3]

John was born in 1780. He passed away in 1855. [4]
