Joseph William Lord was born in London Twp., Middlesex, Ontario, Canada, on August 24, 1881, the son of Robert T Lord and Ann Jane Tomlinson. [1]
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, in 1904. While at university, he played on the rugby team and was a member of the tug-of-war team.[2]
Joseph died of infectious hepatitis on January 1, 1949, at Royal Jubilee Hospital, British Columbia, Canada. He was a retired medical doctor and was married to Isabel. His father was born in Prince Edward Island and his mother was born in Ontario. He was to be buried at the Royal Oak Burial Park, Saanich, BC. Wife Isabel was the informant on the Death Certificate.[3]
