Biography

William was born in 1822. He was the son of Benjamin Lowe and Bianca Curry. He passed away in 1866. [1]

His Will dated 12 Mar 1873 proved 19 Oct 1886

Bahama Islands In the name of God Amen. I William Lowe of New Plymouth, GreenTurtle Cay, Abaco, Planter, being through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all wills, codicils, and other testamentary dispositions made by me at any time or times heretofore / in manner and form following that is to say: FIRST I desire that my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be fully paid by my Executrix and Executor, hereinafter named so soon as conveniently may be after my decease. SECOND I give, devise, and bequeath in trust unto my beloved wife Charlotte Lowe allmy property, real and personal to be used applied and disposed of by her for the maintenance and support of herself and my children Viz: Gideon Lowe, Clarence Foster Lowe, Sarah Lowe, Elizabeth Lowe, Benjamin Lowe, and Edward Lowe which maintenance and support shall be received by my beloved wife so long as she remains my widow and my children before named until they arrive at the age of twenty years, respectively. Should my beloved wife marry again before my youngest child arrives at the age of twenty years, I direct that my property, real and personal, shall be used for the maintenance of my children hereinbefore named, until they arrive at the age of twenty years respectively. THIRD Should my wife marry again I direct that so soon as my youngest child arrives at the age of twenty years, that all remainder and remainders of my property of whatever kind and description shall be equally divided among my beloved wife Charlotte Lowe, and my children Vis: Gideon Lowe, Clarence Foster Lowe, Sarah Lowe, Elizabeth Lowe, Benjamin Lowe and Edward Lowe for their sole uses and purposes forever. FOURTH In case my wife shal die before my children shall arrive at age I firect that my Executor herinafter named shall in trust all remainder and remainders of my property and that he shall use and apply the same as he may deem most advisible for the maintenance and support of my said children as before mentioned. And so soon as the youngest child arrives at the age of twenty years, I direct that all remainder and remainders of my property shall be equally divided among my children Gideon Lowe, Clarence Foster Lowe, Sarah Lowe, Elizabeth Lowe, Benjamin Lowe and Edward Lowe for their uses and purposes forever. AND LASTLY I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Charlotte, and my son Gideon Executrix and Executor to ____ my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay in the Island of Abaco this twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.
