When Henry Lowe (Loy) was born on July 23, 1790, in Orange, North Carolina, his father, George, was 47 and his mother, Mary, was 46. He married Martha "Patsy" Greenwood on July 22, 1809, in Madison, Alabama. They had 11 children in 23 years. He died on August 21, 1873, in Jackson, Illinois, having lived a long life of 83 years, and was buried in Campbell Hill, Illinois.
