Biography

Moore was born in 1731.

Moore, son of Moore Lumpkin, married Anne Woodson on 14 April 1773 in Virginia. Her father is shown as John Gannaway, indicating that Woodson was her first husband's name.[1]

Adventures of Purse and Person , pg 805-806 c/o Jeanne Morrison Park 244. ANN5 WOODSON (John4, Richard3, Robert2, John1) married, (bond 14) April 1773 (footnote 1189), Moore Lumpkin, of Cumberland County, who moved to Charlotte County (footnote 1190), and died in Campbell County by 20 Oct. 1782 when the inventory of his estate was recorded (footnote 1191). His widow moved to Buckingham County and later to Prince Edward County and left will 9 Aug. 1809-19 Feb. 1809 (footnote 1192).

20 Jan 1755, from George Lumpkin of Nottoway Parish in PE to Richard Wammock of Lunenburg, 150 pounds tract of about 400 A in PE where the sd George Lumpkin now lives, granted to the sd Lumpkin by patent dated 20 Sep 1748 & bounded by Randolph. rec 8 Jul 1755.
